FCCLA Offers Hurricane Relief

FCCLA members were hard at work this week selling bake sale items to help the food pantry of Houston. As we all know, Hurricane Harvey ripped through the state of Texas last week. Harvey was extremely destructive and catastrophic leaving thousands without food, clean water, and shelter. Although the small town of New Concord is 20 hours from Houston, students at JGHS are putting forth a huge effort to help out the civilians in need.

FCCLA members were asked to bake items over the weekend to sell the following week. The club members brought all different kinds of sweet treats to sell. Students sold the items during lunch time and got a lot of profit from people stopping by on their way to the cafeteria.

It is truly great to see all of these communities coming together to help out for such a great cause. Thank you FCCLA and Mrs. Belcher (Club advisor)  for raising the money for Texas. FCCLA is proving that you can do small things to impact the lives of so many people. The small town of New Concord is making a big difference.
