Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" will take to the stage this week at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center.
A production of the John Glenn High School Choir and Theater Class, the musical will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 16-1, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 18. A Sunday brunch also will be available -- by reservation only -- from 1:30 to 2:30.
"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" is the Biblical story of Jacob and his 12 sons. Jacob demonstrates he favors his youngest son, Joseph, by giving him a multi-colored coat.
Envious of Joseph, the other brothers conspire and sell him into slavery.
The cast will bring the story to life for the audience as the plot leads from the land of Canaan to the Egypt of the Pharaoh.
Tickets in advance are $8 for adults and $6 for children and senior citizens, 60 years old and older. All seats are reserved and available by calling the Civic Center in advance, 439-7009. Tickets at the door are all $10.
The price for Sunday brunch (which includes admission to the show) is $20 for adults and $15 for children and senior citizens, 60 years old and older.
The musical is directed by Greg Milleson, assisted by Matt Marratta.
