Book about veterans stories on sale

Stories of veterans from the East Muskingum area have been collected and printed in a book.

To view a display copy, visit Johns Barber Shop, Main Street, New Concord.

The printing cost is $15.

Clothing donations

The College Drive Presbyterian Church of New Concord is seeking clothing donations for its Clothes Closet. Donations will be picked up by calling Ellen at 826-4933.

Preschool story time set

NEW CONCORD Preschool story time for the spring session will begin the week of Feb. 27 and continue through the week of April 16 at the New Concord Branch Library. Contact the library if you would like to participate and to register. Story time is open to the public. Registration is required, limited, and free of charge.

Book discussion set

NEW CONCORD The New Concord Branch Library will have a book discussion on Sarahs Key on Wednesday, April 11 at 5:30 p.m.

The book takes place in Paris in July 1942. Ten-year old Sarah and her family are brutally arrested by the French police. Thinking shell return shortly, Sarah locks her younger brother in a cupboard in the family apartment.

Registered participants will be loaned a free copy of the book. Registration is required, limited and free of charge.

Turtle Lady comes to library

NEW CONCORD Bring the entire family and learn fascinating facts about turtles, lizards and more with Nancy Lockard, The Turtle Lady, on Wednesday, April 18 at 6 p.m. at the New Concord Branch Library. Registration is requested and free of charge.

Columbus Zoo comes to you!

ZANESVILLE The Columbus Zoo comes to you on Tuesday, April 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the John McIntire Library in Zanesville.

Meet and learn about some of the animals from the Columbus Zoo. Discover where they are from, what they eat, and possibly touch the birds, reptiles and a variety of mammals.

Book sale

ZANESVILLE The John McIntire Library in Zanesville will have Buck a Bag of Books Sale on Saturday, April 28 in the librarys lower level. Doors to the lower level open at 10:15 a.m. Sale begins at 10:30 a.m. The Buck a Bag of Books Sale is as easy as 1-2-3! Buy your bags from the Friends of the Library at $1 per bag. Fill your bags from a wide selection of gently-used books. Enjoy. The sale is open to the public. Proceeds from the sale support library programs and resources.
