Book about veterans stories on sale
Stories of veterans from the East Muskingum area have been collected and printed in a book.

The printing cost is $15.

National Day of Prayer to be observed
NEW CONCORD The 61st annual observance of the National Day of Prayer will be Thursday, May 3 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Stormont Pavilion, next to the New Concord Branch Library in New Concord. All are welcome.
The College Drive Presbyterian Church of New Concord is seeking clothing donations for its Clothes Closet. Donations will be picked up by calling Ellen at 826-4933.
ZANESVILLE The John McIntire Library in Zanesville will have Buck a Bag of Books Sale on Saturday, April 28 in the librarys lower level. Doors to the lower level open at 10:15 a.m. Sale begins at 10:30 a.m.

Clothing art show
ZANESVILLE Hoffman Clothing and Accessories show will be at the John McIntire Library, Carnegie Wing Gallery, April 2 to April 27.
The show is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Book group to meet
NEW CONCORD - The book discussion group at New Concord Branch Library will discuss Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks when the group gathers on Wednesday, May 9, at 5:30 p.m.
Set in the year of 1666, Year of Wonders charts the story of Anna Firth, a housemaid who emerges as the unlikely heroine after an infested bolt of cloth carries plague from London to her village.
Registered participants will be loaned a copy of the book. Participation in the discussion group is free, but space is limited. So registration is requested. Call 826-4184 to register.
Kountry Swingers is seeking dancers and will train if necessary. The group meets each Wednesday for practice at the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center at 1:30 p.m. To join the group, call Diane Krall at 432-7843 or JoAnn Sprill at 432-3234.
