On Wednesday, October 25th all John Glenn Musical Classes performed for the community. The high school’s orchestra performed four pieces led by Ms. Graham. Their String Sounds program performed two pieces. The students in String Sounds put in many extra hours. They go to String Sounds camp in the summer and have practices after school. They are a very impressive group to watch.

Another impressive group to watch was the marching band. The marching band is doing an exceptional job this year playing at the football games and competing and qualifying for State. Their state competition is on November 4th.

JG’s Panjgea is another musical group at John Glenn High School that did exceptionally well. Panjgea is a musical group that plays tropical sounding music, it gets you in a feel good mood. Panjgea performs for the community at many different gigs. Panjgea and the JGHS Marching Band are both led by Mr. Kelsey.

The last group at the concert was JG Company and the Symphonic Choir led by Mrs. Kaiser.  JG Company sang three songs, one at which was dedicated to Tyler Herron. The Symphonic Choir sang two pieces that were both beautifully sung.

All of these groups did an exceptional job, they put countless hours into making their concerts successful and should be recognized for it! Great job JGHS musical programs!
