ZANESVILLE -- Roberta Armstrong was recently named an honorary member of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Muskingum County Library System. Armstrong has served on the Friends Board in many capacities for a number of years, most recently as a representative for the Friends of the New Concord Branch Library. She was instrumental in the start up of the Friends Book Store, a gently used book store located in John McIntire Library, which is the major fundraising project for the Friends of the Library.
Blair Tom, Library manager, said, "Roberta has served the Friends of the Library with dedication and distinction since the organization's inception in Muskingum County. The board wanted to recognize her stellar contributions and invite her input and leadership moving forward."
Friends of the Library is a non-profit, volunteer support group of the Muskingum County Library System. Members serve as advocates raising funds and friends for public libraries.
