4-H CLUB NEWS

NEW CONCORD -- The Shady Valley Shamrocks 4-H Club met April 13 at the New Concord United Methodist Church with President Brad Comisford in charge of the meeting.

Members discussed 4-H enrollment papers, collected the Flower Power fund-raiser sales and discussed the club's constitution.

Katie Hodges gave a rabbit demonstration, Luke Comisford gave a safety report and Cassy Edwards entertained the club with riddles.

Members also voted to paint the garage of an elderly woman in Cambridge as their community service project. They are also collecting pull tabs to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus.

Snacks were presented by the Lucas family.

At the club's next meeting, Tuesday, April 27 at 7 p.m. at the church, club members will bring their ideas for club T-shirts and discuss parliamentary procedure.
