Lauren Kathleen Gallant and Daniel Chesly Cochran were united in marriage on June 5, 2010, in Swedenborg Chapel on the campus of Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She is the daughter of Mark and Shelley Gallant of New Concord.
He is the son of John and Elizabeth Cochran of Portsmouth, R.I.
The Rev. Burns Stanfield officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Caroline Kreis, her cousin. Bridesmaids were Emily Emmons, Caitlin Snyder, Whittney Barth and Sarah Manouchehri.
Serving the groom as best man was Sisi Zhang. Ushers were Charlie Fountaine, James Cassuto, Ryan Darmody, Ryan Aylesworth, Michael Motia and Greg Gallant.
A reception for 60 guests followed at the Harvard Faculty Club.
The new Mrs. Cochran is a graduate of John Glenn High School and a graduate of Miami University. She is a student at Harvard University, where she is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree.
Her husband is a graduate of the University of Rochester. He is also pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Harvard University.
The couple makes their home in Somerville, Mass.
