UMWNorwich United Methodist Women met for its May meeting at the home of President Mary Jane Lowry with eight members in attendance.Lowry read a poem titled, "A Creation of Mothers," and "What is a Mother." Karen Boehm read scripture from Psalm.Joan Neff led the program and read several selections about "Mothers."Members answered roll call with a Bible verse. The group recited the Purpose.The secrretary's and treasurer's reports were read.UMW Sunday was observed May 1, with the group participating in the service. A list of nearly 95 names was read, which included all members, past and present. A flower, representing each name, was put into a large vase.Cards were sent to shut-ins. The Lord's Prayer was recited by all.Reba Knicely and Lowry provided refreshments.Willing WorkersWilling Workers of West Union met May 12 for a carry-in lunch at the home of Jane Lowry with seven members in attendance.Lowry read a poem titled, "I Look Just Like Her." Helen Richey led devotions.Members answered roll call by answering "What do you think contributes most to your quality of live?"Anita Kreager was recognized for her May 26 birthday.The secretary's and treasurer's reports were read.Richey showed members some of the quilts she has been working on.Cards were signed for the ill. The Lord's Prayer was recited by all.Karen led games. Jeanette Miller won the door prize.Next meeting will be at noon on June 9 at the home of Judy Hoffer.
