NEW CONCORD -- A boy, 12, struck by a car was treated and released the same day from Nationwide Children's Hospital, a New Concord police officer said.
The boy suffered a couple of fractures as well as bumps and bruises, said Officer Trevor Hayes, who investigated the accident.
Hayes said the boy and a friend were attempting to cross Friendship Drive near Hillcrest Drive at about 2:40 p.m. Friday.
The friend made it across the road. However, the 12-year-old was struck by a car driven by Cory D. Marling, 21, of the Zanesville area. Marling was not charged, Hayes said.
