NEW CONCORD -- Folks willing to hustle to their closets and dig back three decades can help the kids in an upcoming production at East Muskingum Middle School.
The students will perform "Disco Knights" at the end of March and, for the sake of authenticity, they need "costumes" that suggest the era -- the clothing of their parents or grandparents who were around when disco fever erupted in the mid-1970s.
"This is people's big chance to search their closets and trek down memory lane," Director Eileen Adams said. "They can revisit that 'groovy' time of polyester, elephant bells, tie-dyed Ts, wide collars, loud prints and platform shoes.
"We mostly need pants and shirts for middle-school sized boys."
Anyone wishing their clothing items returned should mark all items with their name, telephone number and instructions for returning them.
Donors can drop off the clothing, weather permitting, at the East Middle School before 5 p.m. on Wednesday or Thursday. Or, call Adams at 826-4154.
