NEW CONCORD — Fox trot, tango and waltz your way to fitness by attending the New Concord Area Arts and Recreation District’s couples dancing classes Thursday evenings this June.
Instructor George Dolney will not only demonstrate classic dance steps, but also help students master the postures and techniques that take the simplest moves to another level. Dolney is experienced in all types of dance and encourages students to bring questions and requests to class.
This four-week session of couples dancing begins June 10 and meets every Thursday through July 1 at the New Concord Elementary School gymnasium on Main Street, New Concord. The classes run from 7 to 8 p.m. and are open to adults and teens. Come with your own partner or be paired with another single in the class.
Couples dancing costs $30 per person at the door or $25 per person with registration by June 7. Register online at ncaard.org or call 826-2293 to sign-up. Bring checks made out to NCAARD to the first class. At least 10 people must register by June 7 for the class to be held.
