ZANESVILLE — Ed Mulholland, executive director of Muskingum Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America, wants area parents to know that there is room for their children in local packs, troops and crews.
“Parents face an uphill battle when it comes to raising their kids,” he said. “Scouting can be a big help.”
Mulholland said that Scouting is an excellent place for young people to learn to have a strong sense of duty to God and country, to always do their best and to understand the importance of service to others. For more than 100 years scouting has reinforced these values at every meeting and activity, bringing families together for exciting, educational adventures.
Parents with boys in first through 12th grade, and girls in ninth through 12th grade may call the local Boy Scout Service Center at (740) 453-0571 for information on Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops and Venture crews in their neighborhoods.
