CUMBERLAND -- Bills totaling $7,097.47 were presented and approved for payment at the Nov. 15 meeting of the Spencer Township trustees.
One guest was present, Mark Ansel from Dutro Ford in Zanesville.
The trustees received the OTA November Grass Roots Mailer.
They also received a letter from Ohio Department of Commerce to inform the trustees that the license permitting a business within the township to sell liquor will expire on Feb. 1, 2011.
(This business is within the Cumberland Village limits so the township is not affected by this.)
The trustees agreed to participate in the Guernsey County Commissioners' Frost Law which will take effect from Jan. 1, 2011, through April 15, 2011.
The trustees opened bids for a cab and chassis dump truck. Only one bid was received from Dutro Ford for a 2011 ton and a half truck.
The trustees voted to accept the bid.
The rest of the equipment for the truck will be purchased separately.
The completed truck is expected to be delivered within 12 weeks.
The trustees anticipate that the addition of this truck will greatly reduce the time needed for winter snow removal.
The next meeting of the Spencer Township trustees will be Dec. 20.
Bills should be given to Fiscal Officer Nate Wutrick no later than Dec. 15.
