NEW CONCORD — Dr. Joe Joseph of New Concord Family Dental announced a new associate will be joining the team at New Concord Family Dental, beginning April 4.
Dr. Martin Hertzel, an alumnus of Muskingum University, will become the newest member of the family focused practice.
As a Muskie, Hertzel was a member of the MACE Club, Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society, American Chemical Society, Order of Omega and Spirit Band.
He graduated in 2001 with a bachelor of science degree, having majored in biology and minored in chemistry and business. After Muskingum, Hertzel attended The Ohio State University where, in 2005, he earned a doctorate in dental surgery.
Since then, he has been in private practice in Columbus.
“I enjoy general dentistry,” he said, “every aspect of it.”
Over the past six years, he has gained extensive experience with CEREC, same-day restorations.
Currently, Dr. Hertzel resides in Gahanna with his wife, Moné, and their children, William, 6, and Isabelle, 3.
“I enjoy spending my spare time with my family,” he said.
He also likes to hunt, fish and bowl. Occasionally, he attends Buckeyes, Blue Jackets and Clippers games.
“We’re excited to have Dr. Hertzel join our team,” Dr. Joseph said.
A believer in leading-edge technology, Dr. Joseph has been incorporating up-to-date dental technology and techniques at New Concord Family Dental since acquiring the practice last year.
“I want to make dentistry a more pleasant experience for our patients,” he said. “And I’m pleased that Dr. Hertzel and I share that commitment.”
