Bonnie Davis, of New Concord, will appear on the Ohio Lottery Cash Explosion television program on Saturday, May 7, at 7:30 p.m. (Check local listings.)
The program in which Davis is a contestant was taped April 6 in Columbus. In order not to take the drama out of the broadcast, The Jeffersonian is not revealing how it turned out for Davis, an employee of Muskingum University.
Davis bought the winning ticket at Circle K in New Concord.
Cash Explosion is taped in front of a studio audience in Columbus and broadcast each Saturday night. Eight contestants compete each week for up to $200,000 in cash.
Contestants are chosen from a drawing of instant lottery tickets with 3 “entry” markings sent in to the station.
Cash Explosion was known as Cash Explosion Double Play from 1989 until 2006. Cash Explosion originally aired from Feb. 7, 1987, to Sept. 30, 2006, at which point the Ohio Lottery replaced it with Make Me Famous, Make Me Rich.
