Celebrate New Concord hosts guitarist, vocalist

NEW CONCORD — Celebrate New Concord (CNC), the summer entertainment series now in its 11th season, will host guitarist and vocalist Dan Heidt in his CNC debut on Tuesday, June 21 at 7 p.m. in Village Park in downtown New Concord.

This event is free and open to the public.  Visitors are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. 

Food service, provided by The Ruritan, will begin at 6 p.m. 

In the event of rain, the performance will be moved into the firehouse at the park.

Heidt describes himself as a "singer, songwriter and optimist." His repertoire includes James Taylor, John Denver, Van Morrison, Simon and Garfunkel, John Prine, The Beatles, Crosby Stills and  Nash and some of his own compositions.  

He has performed widely in the greater Columbus area, including North Market, Java Central in Westerville, the Short North's Gallery Hop and at OSU's Schottenstein Center for last year's James Taylor/Carole King Troubadour Reunion concert.
