NEW CONCORD An item has been removed from the agenda of the next meeting of the New Concord Planning Commission.
Muskingum University officials have postponed their application to meet with the commission on Feb. 15.
The university had sought to have a site plan approved for a solar panel field.
However, the university now is working on a plan to install the panels on a smaller scale, possibly on building roofs and in an area north of the Physical Plant.
At this time, the university does not intend to install solar panels on the softball field, Village Administrator John Huey said.
The commission still will meet on Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. On the agenda is a request for approval of a site plan for 189-199 West Main Street. Commission members also will discuss possible amendments to the Zoning Code with respect to solar panels.
