The Career Development team at Mid-East Career and Technology Centers recently visited kindergarten through second-grade students at New Concord Elementary. Students were treated to hands-on demonstrations from the Natural Resource Conservation Program, Electrical Trades Program and Diesel Technology Program. Kindergarten students also participated in a Community Career Puzzle Activity and first and second grade students created All About Me Posters. Students learned firsthand about Natural Resource Conservation with junior Danielle Norton, who helped them plant seedlings; explored diesel mechanic tools with senior Austin Norton; and discovered about electricity with junior Dakota Norton. The Nortons are siblings from John Glenn High School. Pictured are Dakota and Danielle with the second-grade class of Ms. Cindy McCormick.
