MU women drop OAC tennis match

NEW CONCORD The Muskingum University womens tennis team lost an Ohio Athletic Conference match against Heidelberg University on Monday afternoon, 9-0.

Muskingum freshman Karin Mueller provided the Muskies their best chance for a win at second singles. Mueller lost a tough 6-4, 6-4 match against Kayla Gerber. She also teamed with freshman Hollie Harrison at first doubles and dropped a tough 8-3 decision against Deidre Potter and Gerber.

Muskingum sophomore Autumn Nelson also battled Melissa Herrera Ortiz at sixth singles before falling 6-4, 6-2.

NEXT Muskingum hits the courts next when it travels to Marietta College on Wednesday, April 11. Match time is slated for 3:30 p.m.
