Clothing donations

The College Drive Presbyterian Church of New Concord is seeking clothing donations for its Clothes Closet. Donations will be picked up by calling Ellen at 826-4933.

 

Dial A Story

ZANESVILLE — Call your library and hear a different story each week. Dial A Story invites young people to enjoy a four-minute story told by a professional story tellear. Dial in for a story 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call 740-455-6933.

Story time 

registration to start

ZANESVILLE — Registration for fall story time opens Monday, Sept. 9. The eight-week fall session will run the week of Sept. 16 through the week of Nov. 4.

Registration is required, limited and free of charge.

Preschool story time is for children ages 3-1/2 to 5, and is offered at the John McIntire Library and New Concord Branch Library.

Additional story time programs at the John McIntire Library include: Baby, for infants up to 24 months old; toddler, for children ages 2 to 3-1/2; and bedtime, for children ages 2 to 5.

Book discussion planned

NEW CONCORD — “Emma” will be discussed Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the New Concord Branch Library.

Quite possibly Jane Austen’s best work, this captivating story is sure to win new fans and delight existing Austen fans who revisit this classic with us. 

Registered participants will be loaned a free copy of the book. Registration is required and limited.

‘Bigfoot among us’ talk

NEW CONCORD — “Bigfoot Among Us” talk is set for Saturday, Sept. 21 at noon at the New Concord Branch Library.

Bigfoot researcher and member of the Ohio Bigfoot Association Mark DeWerth will share and discuss his experiences and encounters with the legendary creature.
