One of the biggest regrets I have is not joining media until halfway through sophomore year. Some of my best memories and friendships have come from a group of kids who spend their time writing stories and making an awesome yearbook.
I can remember my first day in media. I walked in with a water stain on my light colored jeans and the first thing I said was, “guys, this isn’t pee.” and thus the name peeboy was born. Overall I have had a blast in media, from eating boxes upon boxes of pizza to writing various senior musicians of the week I have enjoyed it all.
I consider this group of people my family. I love each one of them unconditionally, I know that if I would ever need something they would all be there. I would now like to take this time to thank some special people.
I would first like to thank Bailey Beisser, my best friend. The person who always wants to see a dank meme. Thanks for everything, I love you. Second I would like to thank my amazing editor Brittany Smith who always, and I mean always fixes my grammatical errors. Love ya b squared. I would especially like to thank my fake wife Kaitlin Klies. Thank you for always fighting with me on any subject ever. Love ya kid. Thank you Kaleb Fleece for being the second male in media, Thanks for the diversity. I would like to thank Gabbi Blair for being a great mom and for always supplying me with pictures of my hero. Erin Dickson, even though you are new to the media scene and our continuing rivalry since kindergarten is still present, I appreciate you still putting up with me. Anna Ryan, I am sorry that I did not have your number saved for the longest time, but I thank you for taking pictures of basketball games when I did not want to. I would like to thank Nicole Lynch for being an amazing friend even though you followed me on Instagram two weeks ago. I love you as well. And to Ruby, I am sorry for eating peanut butter around you many of times. I love you, thanks for always roasting me. And Finally Miss Day/ Mom, thank you for being not only a teacher, but a mentor and a role model. Thank you for always believing in me even when I mess up. I will never forget the things you have done for me.
The Jon Jee will now be available online for the world to see. I am excited for the future of our media staff, may the program live on forever. Globally.
