Self help is essential to living a positive and healthy life. Certain topics like overcoming negative self image, how to stop comparing yourself to others and increasing self confidence are important to changing the way you see yourself.

To stop seeing yourself in a negative way, you should tell yourself positive things, and don’t always assume the worst.

Telling yourself you look beautiful and not letting yourself think, “Oh, I look stupid. No one is ever going to like me,”and other negative thoughts will never get you to where you want to be.

Once you learn to stop comparing yourself to others, you can be confident in your identity and feel good in your own skin. You need to stop letting yourself feel inferior to others, and encourage yourself and build yourself up.

Tell yourself things like “I am just as pretty as her….” or “I don't have to be pretty like her, I can be pretty like me.”

Letting yourself fall into patterns of repeating these positive thoughts will encourage a positive lifestyle.

One of the hardest topics is increasing self confidence. For some of us, it comes naturally and for others, it's something we struggle with. Make sure you aren't feeding into the negative thoughts in your head. Most of the time we become consumed with wondering what others are thinking of us. When most of the time, they don’t think of us at all. Don't become so fixated on knowing what people are thinking, and become content with knowing that you are an amazing, brilliant, and beautiful person.

So next time you deal with any of these topics, stop and think for a second, “Is what I’m thinking rational?”, “Do I have any evidence to support that maybe there is something wrong with this situation?”

Try your best not to jump to conclusions next time. Keep a clear head and think positive thoughts.
