Denise Davis and Neal Rayner were united in marriage on Dec. 20, 2008, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Byesville. She is the daughter of the late Earl C. and Margie E. (Moore) Davis. He is the son of James E. Rayner of Paris and the late Hulda Ann (Beebe) Rayner. The bride was escorted by James E. Raynor, father of the groom. Pastor Roger Morrow officiated the double-ring ceremony. Special music was provided by Yvonne Rogers, pianist, and Pam Goller and Rebekah Smith, soloists, friends of the bride. Attending the bride as co-matrons of honor were Nonnie Luskevich and Debra Beike, her friends. Serving the groom as best man was Richard Hazlett, his friend. Dale Rayner, brother of the groom, served as groomsman. A reception for 75 guests followed at Mr. Lee's Banquet Hall in Cambridge, with Mary Ellen Ontko and Virginia Chippi, friends of the bride, hosting. The new Mrs. Rayner is a graduate of Meadowbrook High School and a graduate of Muskingum College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She also received a Master of Arts degree in education from Mount St. Joseph. She is a social studies teacher for the Rolling Hills Local School at Meadowbrook Middle School. Her husband is a graduate of Oakwood High School in North Canton. He retired from service in the U.S. Air Force. He is an employee of Stark-Tusc-Wayne Joint Solid Waste District.
