NEW CONCORD " The New Concord Area Arts and Recreation District, the New Concord Ruritans and the Friends of the New Concord Area Pool will host a pre-order chicken dinner fundraiser benefiting the pool on Friday, June 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. The dinner includes half a chicken with cole slaw, breadsticks and a cookie for $8 with pre-order on or before June 7. Asthma Camp for kids planned
ZANESVILLE " Rambo Memorial Health Center and Muskingum Respiratory Care Association invite children with asthma, ages 7 to 11, to attend the annual "Asthma Camp for Kids." The children will learn how to manage their asthma while having fun. The free day camp will include discussions on what can trigger asthma episodes and the action to take if an asthma episode should occur. Crafts, swimming, games and other activities are included and supervised by a team of healthcare professionals. The corporate sponsors for the camp are the Fieldhouse and Century National Bank. Night hike rescheduled
NEW CONCORD " Due to the threat of inclement weather, the New Concord Area Arts and Recreation District (NCAARD) has canceled the night hike for adults and teens that was planned for Saturday, May 1. The program has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the New Concord Reservoir. The family hike remains scheduled for May 15. A cap of 40 people has been placed on each hike.
