WILLIAM RAYMOND HARSTINE 1923-2009 UTICA -- A funeral service for William Raymond Harstine, 85, of Utica, was July 1, 2009, at the Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica. Pastor Carol Hill officiated. Burial was in the Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield. He passed away June 28, 2009, at the Newark Healthcare Center. He was born Sept. 27, 1923, in Newcomerstown, the son of the late William and Amy (Harbold) Harstine. Raymond was a member of the Morgan Grange and Farm Bureau Council. He was a lifetime farmer and restored antique tractors. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Florence S. (Lawrence) Harstine of Utica; two sons, Richard R. (Liz) Harstine of Troy and Dennis E. (Donna) Harstine of Bladensburg; one daughter, Sue (Chris) Norton of Newark; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren, He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Lyle Harstine; daughter, Linda Rasor; and two grandchildren, Scott Rasor and Christopher Harstine.
