Harold Richard Cross

NEW CONCORD -- Harold Richard Cross, 66, of Norwich, died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 11, 2009) at The Beckett House, New Concord, following an extended illness.

He was born July 11, 1943, in Guernsey County, a son of Zula Moore Cross of Norwich, and the late Lester Earl Cross.

Mr. Cross was a former employee of Russell McCall's Egg Farm and a former employee of Taylor Terrace Golf Course.

He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by sisters, Luanna (William) Matthews, Gahanna, and Carolyn (Thomas) Hall, Norwich; brothers, Carl (Jan) Cross, St. Augustine, Fla., Donald (Neva Ruth) Cross, Norwich, Robert (fiancee, Kim) Cross Zanesville, and Lester D. (Joyce) Cross of Norwich; 14 nieces and nephews; and 15 great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Aug. 15 at the Mock-Miller Funeral Home, 63 W. Main St., New Concord. Pastor Dail Parrish officiated.

Burial was in the Bethel Church Cemetery, Highland Township.
