William Joseph "Joe" Brand

NEW CONCORD -- William Joseph "Joe" Brand, 58, of New Concord, died at 11:51 p.m. Monday (Nov. 16, 2009) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital ER.

He was born Jan. 11, l951, in Zanesville, a son of the late William W. and Mary Swope Brand.

Mr. Brand was a retired employee of the Ohio Department of Transportation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John F. Brand.

He is survived by his significant other, Charlee Daniels of the home; sons, William Shawn (Rebecca) Brand and John Joshua (Tanya) Brand, both of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Becky Brand of Norwich; and grandaughter, Morgan Jo Brand of Lancaster.

Funeral services were Nov. 20, 2009, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, south of New Concord. The Rev. Steve Sullivan officiated.

The Mock-Miller Funeral Home in New Concord was in charge of arrangements.
