NEW CONCORD -- Wanda Jean Johnson, 85, of Norwich, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 31, 2010) at Genesis Extended Care, Zanesville, following a long illness.
She was born Aug. 7, l924, in Norwich, daughter of Russell and Ethel Taylor White.
Mrs. Johnson attended Norwich Presbyterian Church. She was a former employee of Shegog's I.G.A. of New Concord, a former Mary Kay consultant, and a former employee of the Christmas House, near Norwich.
She is survived by her husband, Earl L. Johnson, whom she married on May 16, l992; daughters, Sandra (Thomas) Abbott, St. Petersburg, Fla., Karen (Don) Morgan, Zanesville, and Nancy Omen, Zanesville; sisters, Alma (Tom) Johnson, New Concord, and Nelda (Enos) Dingey, Zanesville; brothers, Gerald (Janet) White, McConnelsville, Richard (Edith) White, Zanesville, and Charlie (Marcie) White, Zanesville; grandchildren, Kurt (Stacey) Abbott, Krista (Ray) Cioffi, Donnie Morgan, Lisa Ehrnfield, Todd (Kelly) Omen, Tisha Dumolt, and Tacie (Rich) Thorne; great-grandchildren, Austin Omen, Haylee Rockwell, Trevor Ehrnfield, Breyer Ehrnfield,Wyatt Ehrnfield, Mark Cioffi, Carissa Morgan, Kyria Abbott, and Kyle Abbott.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James A. Smith, on May 30, 1988; and a brother, George White.
Funeral services were Feb. 4 at the Mock-Miller Funeral Home, 63 W. Main St., New Concord. Pastor Michael DeLeon officiated.
Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, New Concord.
