NEW CONCORD -- Alma R. Yoho Johnson, 79, of New Concord, died at 12:21 a.m. Monday (March 22, 2010) at the Summerville Inn At North Hills, Zanesville.
She was born Aug. 12, 1930, in Norwich, a daughter of the late Russell H. and Ethel A. Taylor White.
Mrs. Johnson was a former employee of Elliott's Western Shop, Zanesville Pottery, and Johnson's Farm Market.
She as a member of the VFW of Buffalo and the American Legion of Belle Valley. Alma was an expert seamstress and enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her husband, Tom E. Johnson, whom she married Jan. 9, 1986; daughters, Joan (George) Huhn of New Concord and Susan J. Yoho of Caldwell; sons, Robert L. Yoho of Byesville and John C. Yoho of Zanesville; stepsons, Larry Johnson, Dick (Jill) Johnson and Jim(April ) Johnson; stepdaughter, Pamela (Tom) Beach; sister, Nelda (Enos) Dingey of Zanesville; brothers, Gerald (Janet) White of McConnelsville, and Richard (Edith) White and Charlie (Marcie) White, both of Zanesville; grandchildren, Robert C. Yoho, Thomas C. Yoho, Angela M. Yoho, Cynthia Yoho, Sierra Yoho and Somer Yoho; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles C. Yoho, on April 14, 1982; sister, Wanda Jean Smith Johnson; and brother, George C. White.
Funeral services were March 25, 2010, at the Mock-Miller Funeral Home, New Concord.
Pastor Jim Gibson officiated.
Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, New Concord.
