Roxanna Ruth Schriver, 89, of Cranberry, Pa., and formerly of Cambridge, passed away Friday (March 26, 2010) at UPMC Northwest after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 19, 1920, in Guernsey County, daughter of the late Phillip H. Rice Sr. and Roxanna (St. Clair) Rice.
Mrs. Schriver was employed by Phillips Products and later retired from the State of Ohio, where she had been a secretary for many years.
She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Cambridge. She was both a founding member and a lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary 28.
Mrs. Schriver was a 1938 graduate of New Concord High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Raymond Rice and Phillip H. Rice II; a nephew, Phillip H. Rice III; and two nieces, Mary Ruth Gognat and Roxanna Elizabeth Hutchison.
She is survived by a nephew, Raymond Rice of Cranberry, Pa.; a niece, Deborah Rice of Cambridge; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were March 30, 2010, at the Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Pastor Jim Spain officiated.
Burial was in Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
