Arla M. Davis

NEW CONCORD -- Arla M. Davis, 69, of Norwich, passed away Thursday (April 1, 2010) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, following a short illness.

She was born Jan. 1, 1941, in Zanesville a daughter of the late Ralph and Doris Matzenbach Pryor.

Arla was a former secretary for Muskingum University and retired as a social worker for Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of the Norwich Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Ohio University, Athens.

She is survived by her husband, Paul D. Davis; daughters, Kim (Saeed) Kharazi of Columbus and Lori Marshall of New Concord; sisters, JoAnn (Jeff) Cody of Anthem, Ariz., and Barbara (Jim) Lingle of Canton; and grandchildren, Darius Kharazi, Jasmine Kharazi, Cameron Kharazi, Misty Marshall, Jessica Marshall and Ryan Jordan.

Funeral services were April 6, 2010, at the Mock-Miller Funeral Home, New Concord. The Rev. Dr. Rollin "Chip" Steele officiated.

Burial was in Norwich Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
