Ruby A. Taylor

NEW CONCORD -- Ruby A. Taylor, 91, of Cambridge, passed away 4 p.m. Sunday (April 25, 2010) at Red Carpet Heath Care Center, Cambridge.

She was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Fred and Anna Dietrich Jones.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of New Concord United Methodist Church, a homemaker, and retired as a licensed practical nurse from the former Cambridge State Hospital. She was also a member of the East Union Homemaker's Club for 65 years, a member of the Ruritan Club, and a member of the former New Concord Grange.

She is survived by a son, Gene (Wagiha) Taylor, of Kingston, Pa.; a daughter, Jo Ann (Gregory) James, of Cambridge; sisters, Clara Garrett, Gladys Murphy, and Alta (Archie) Thorla; grandchildren, Nagwa (Kenneth) Sherman, Gina (Jim) Cotter, Jackie (Don) Meier, Gregory Renner, and Elaine (Ralf) Krieg; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Forest M. Taylor, on Sept. 1, 1995; sisters, Margaret Wheeler and Mary Baker; and a brother, Karl Jones.

Funeral services were April 28, 2010, at the Mock-Miller Funeral Home, New Concord. The Rev. Steve Sullivan officiated.

Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, New Concord.
