CUMBERLAND — Milan Edward Lestock, 84, left this life and loved ones to be with the Lord and with those who had gone on before him on Tuesday (July 13, 2010) at 4:30 a.m. at his home in Cumberland.
He was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Cumberland, son of the late John and Mary (Mihalik) Lestock.
Mr. Lestock was a life long resident and care taker of the family farm where he was born 84 years ago. From the day of his Baptism, Milan’s faith and hope were that of Lutheran, where he leaves many friends at Trinity Lutheran Church in Zanesville.
Milan worked as a pumper in the oil fields and various other jobs away from his home but his joy was working on his farm.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha (Kovach) Lestock, whom he married April 24, 1954; his sons, Wayne (Nancy) Buchanan Lestock of Cumberland and Jim Lestock of Pleasant City; his grandchildren, Justin, Steven, Phillip, Jeremy, Jenna, Karissa and Katlyn; his sister, Martha (Bob) Zudell; and a brother-in-law, George Gresh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John (Sophie) Lestock, Jerry (Sue) Lestock and Lewis (Sue) Lestock; and sisters, Mary (Steve) Pally, Irene Gresh, Ruth (John) Gombosh and Betty (Phil) Mumah.
Funeral services were July 17 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Zanesville, with Pastor Larry Kudart officiating. The Tom & Farus Funeral Home, Cumberland, was in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Milan’s name to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 128 S. Seventh St., Zanesville, OH 43701.
Condolences
