ZANESVILLE Judy Lyons, 72, of Zanesville, went to be with her Lord on Saturday (Dec. 31, 2011) at 1:25 p.m. at Morrison House in Zanesville.
She was born Sept. 6, 1939, the daughter of H.D. Butch and Louella Fox Walters.
Mrs. Lyons was a long time resident of Cumberland, and worked as a nurse tech for New Concord Nursing Home and The Beckett House of New Concord for 21 years.
She was a member of Cumberland United Methodist Church and attended Coburn United Methodist Church for the past 3 years. She was a member of the Imheiser-Butler Womens Circle of Coburn United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bob; three sons, Mike (Tina) of Ironton, Paul (Diane) of South Charleston and Mark (Lisa) of Independence,; three sisters, Ruth Janson, Tucson, Ariz., Betty (Jim) Peters Byesville and Emma Woodie of Coshocton; two brothers, Dick Martin of Zanesville and Herby (Joyce) Walters of Tucson, Ariz., brother-in-law, Herb Miller of Thornville; four grandchildren, George (Chasity) Suttles of Grayson, Ky., Molly Suttles of Ironton, Miranda Lyons of Independence and Andrew Lyons of South Charleston; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Suttles of Grayson, Ky.; several nephews and two nieces; several cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers;two sisters; and three brothers-in-law.
Funeral services were at Coburn United Methodist Church, 3618 Maple Ave., Zanesville, at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6. The service was officiated by the Revs. Dennis Baker, Doris Flynn and Keith Taylor.
Burial was in Ark Springs Baptist Cemetery.
