Football Camp John Glenn High will be holding their football camp from July 27-29 at the high school. The camp for kids in grades 5-8 will be instructed by the 2009 coaching staff and seniors and will be held from 9-11 a.m. each morning. Cost is $25 and campers must wear shorts, t-shirt and athletic shoes. Golf Outing The Muskingum University Athletic Booster Golf Outing is now accepting registrations for the Monday, July 27 event. Action will start at 1 p.m. at the Zanesville Country Club. The cost is $170 per person or $680 per foursome and incudes 18 holes of golf and dinner. The event will feature various contests on the course and door prizes at dinner, as well as a silent auction. To register contact Larry Shank at 740-826-6109. Officials Course The East Ohio Soccer Officials Association will donduct a soccer officials course beginning July 27. Sessions will be held at Zane State College and Riverside Park. Completion of the course will include a license to officiate high school and junior high games in Ohio. For information call Steve Wootton at 260-0538. Soccer Camp The JGHS soccer teams will host a camp for boys and girls in grades K-8 from July 27-30 on the high school soccer field. Camp will be instructed from 6-8 p.m. and will be directed by British soccer trainer and coach Chris Webster. Youth will be divided into age and skill groups. Soccer Sign-Ups EOSAY soccer registration is open for eligible players ages 4-12 until July 31. Games will be played on Sundays starting Sept. 6. Golf Outing The 2009 John Glenn Wrestling Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, Aug. 1 at the Norwich Valley Golf Course. The 18-hole, three-person scramble format will begin with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. Driving and putting prizes will be awarded. Robbie Cravenor Golf Scramble The second annual Robbie Cravenor Golf Scramble will be held on August 8 at Wildfire Golf Course. Road Runner Softball Tryouts The Road Runner Softball program will be conducting tryouts for the Summer 2010 teams Aug. 8-9. Tryouts on Aug. 8 will be held at the I-470 Complex in Wheeling, WVa. Tryouts for 10-12-14U teams are from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with tryouts for 16-18U from 1-3:30 p.m. The Aug. 9 tryouts will be held at the Perry Softball Complex in Norwich with 10-12-14U tryouts from 1-3:30 p.m. and 16-18U tryouts from 4-6:30 p.m.
