He set a new school mark for touchdown passes in a season with 14 and set the school record for total offense in a game with his 381 yard performance against Ohio Northern University. He logged 25 grabs on the season for 496 yards. Sutton finished his tenure at Muskingum with 1,185 yards receiving, which ranks seventh all-time. Thomas led the Muskie hard-hitting defense with 89 tackles on the season. He ranked fifth in the OAC averaging 8.9 stops per game and ranked first in forced fumbles with two. Overall, Thomas notched 7.5 tackles for loss for 11 yards, intercepted one pass, recovered one fumble and recorded the Muskies' first safety since 2005 when he tackled Marietta College running back Lamar Hunter in the end zone en route to Muskingum's Homecoming game win against the Pioneers. Muskingum finished the year in fifth place in the rugged OAC, their best finish since the 2003 season. The Muskies ended the campaign as one of the hottest teams in the league winning four of their last six games.
