JCU golfers win OAC event

WEST LAFAYETTE -- John Carroll University captured the OAC Spring Invitational which wrapped up Sunday afternoon at River Greens Golf Course, with Muskingum University settling for an eighth place finish. JCU posted a three-day total of 912, five strokes better than runner-up Baldwin-Wallace's 917 effort. Heidelberg was third with 923 followed by Otterbein (925), Ohio Northern (947), Capital (948), Mount Union (952), Muskingum (964) and Wilmington (986). Despite its last place finish, Wilmington had the individual medalist of the tournament in Sawyer Durham, who posted a 223 total including rounds of 74, 75 and 74. Blake Furgerson of John Carroll and Jesse mooss of Capital tied for second at 225. Muskingum's low man was James Mickey with a 231. Other Muskie scores included David Snider (243), Joel Ardner (244), Josh Colyer (249) and Erik Nesbit (254).
